Your privacy, straight up

The short version

This is a personal site where I write and (soon) podcast. I'm not running ad networks, I'm not selling anything about you, and I'm not building a profile on you. The only details I ever hold are the ones you choose to hand me — like an email address or a message.

What I collect

• If you use the contact form Whatever you type — usually your name, email and message — so I can read it and reply.
• If you join the newsletter Your email address, so I can let you know when something new lands.
• Basic visit data Like any website, my host may keep standard server logs (rough location, browser type, pages visited). I use this only to keep the site working and see what people read — never to identify you personally.

What I do with it

I use your details only for the reason you gave them: to reply to you, or to send the occasional update. I don't sell, rent or trade your information to anyone, and I never will.

Who else can see it

The forms and newsletter are handled by reputable third-party services (for example, a form provider or email tool). They process your details on my behalf and have their own privacy terms. I keep these to a minimum and only use ones I trust.

Cookies

The site uses only what it needs to function — for example, remembering whether you've chosen light or dark mode, which is stored on your own device. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your choices

You can ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it — including unsubscribing from the newsletter at any time (there's a link in every email). Just get in touch and I'll sort it.

A note on the writing

Some pieces here draw on hard personal experiences, including family and legal matters. Where they do, identifying details of other people are deliberately left out or changed to protect their privacy. If you ever feel something here identifies you and shouldn't, contact me and I'll look at it straight away.
