📓 The Logbook
The Logbook
The big thoughts get their own essays. This is everything in between — short, dated notes, whatever's on my mind that week. No structure, no lesson at the end. Posted when there's something worth saying, and not when there isn't.

Starting a logbook
PermalinkSo this is new. The articles on here take a fair bit out of me — they’re the big, worked-out thoughts, the ones I’ve chewed on for weeks. But a lot happens in between, and most of it never makes the page because it doesn’t warrant a whole essay.
That’s what this is for. Short notes. Whatever’s on my mind that week — a good day, a rough one, something I read, something I’m trying to do better. No structure, no lesson at the end. Just a bloke keeping a record.
I’m not promising daily. I’m not promising anything. I’ll write when there’s something worth writing. Some weeks that’ll be a paragraph; some weeks nothing at all. That’s alright.
Chin up. Crack on.

Untitled entries are fine here too — sometimes a date and a few lines is the whole job.
Was reminded today that the small stuff counts more than we give it credit for. Not the big dramatic turnarounds you see in films — the boring ones. Getting up. Doing the thing you said you’d do. Being a bit kinder than you felt like being. Nobody claps for it, but it’s where the actual living gets done.
Anyway. That’s me for now.
