What this whole thing is (and isn't)
Do It Better is my little corner of the internet for chewing over all things great and small — through lived experience, a bit of evidence, and honest conversation. I haven't got every answer. I just reckon the conversation's worth having, and worth having properly.
The whole idea
What "Do It Better" actually means
It's not a competition. That's the first thing to get straight.
Do it better doesn't mean do it better than the next person. It means do it better than you did yesterday. Better in your own life. Better to the people around you. Better — full stop, whatever the "it" is.
Because here's what I keep coming back to: we're all equal, and we're all built from the same stuff. It doesn't matter your religion, your race, your sex, who you love, or where you're from — underneath every last bit of it, we're the same. And still we hurt each other, tear each other down, and forget it.
So that's the entire point of this place, in three words: do it better. Not for anyone else's scoreboard. For the simple, stubborn fact that every one of us can.

Editorial principles
Lived experience first
Writing starts from things actually lived through, not borrowed certainty.
Systems, not individuals
Sensitive topics are discussed at the level of systems and lessons. Private people are never named or identified.
Evidence matters
Strong claims need support. Scepticism is welcome; so is the burden of proof.
Disagreement is allowed
Attack ideas, not people. The goal is a better conversation, not a winner.
